The NightVista family of cameras utilize Intevac’s patented Electron Bombarded Active Pixel Sensor (EBAPS®) back thinned, CMOS technology. Designed for low light level surveillance applications, the cameras are low power with a small footprint, and reprocess and optimize low light images.
The camera module can be produced in a variety of configurations, with or without Intevac-supplied video processing electronics, to facilitate integration into a wide range of compact imaging systems.
Intevac’s EBAPS technology provides users with outstanding night vision video performance at affordable prices. Additionally, reliability is enhanced by the sensors greatly reduced complexity (as compared to Gen III tubes). The NightVista E3010 is a single sensor camera that may be used for day or night surveillance due to its very wide dynamic range capabilities (10-5 to 10+4 lux). The GaAs photocathode is sensitive to light from about 400nm in the visible spectrum to about 900nm in the near-IR spectrum.
Intevac continues to improve upon the EBAPS image sensors and cameras. The most recent sensor offering is the ISIE 11 EBAPS camera named the NightVista M611, which has the same features of the ISIE 10 sensor and is faster; 60 fps, with higher resolution; 1600 x 1200 pixels and zero halo.
