CIGS:

CIGS (Copper Indium Gallium Selenide) thin film solar cells are capable of very high conversion efficiencies and low manufacturing cost per watt. Intevac has taken the best of both worlds by developing a very high throughput integrated CIGS processing system, Lean Solar™, to enable the highest possible cell efficiencies through deposition on standard 125 and 156mm cells. Lean Solar deposits the entire CIGS absorber stack, metal contacts, TCO and buffer layers in one system at 1000 cells per hour.
