Planner (Permanent)

Position Overview

• Responsible for the production planning/ coordination, shop floor scheduling
• Support daily material/ production planning based on customer's order
• Plan for production which includes releasing of work orders and ensuring on-time delivery of shipments based on customer requirements
• Optimize loading capacity and monitor movement of finished goods so as to minimize retention period of finished goods
• Work closely with manufacturing, purchasing and warehouse/ logistics to ensure on-time receipt, delivery of materials and finished goods shipments
• Monitor and coordinate on materials shortages, expediting and ensuring material availability to support production plan
• Drive and minimize excess and obsolescence inventory
• Assist in developing and improving existing processes and procedures
• Maintain and ensure key performance metrics are met

Requirements

• Bachelor/ Diploma's Degree in Engineering/ Business Admin/ Supply Chain Management
• Minimum 3 years' related industry experience in planning and inventory management
• Knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concept
• Proficient in MS Excel, Word, Outlook and experience in ERP system (such as Oracle, SAP) is highly desirable
• Good interpersonal and communication skills
• Team player, self-driven and able to work under pressure with sense of urgency
