MTS, Mechanical Engineer

Position Oveview

Mechanical engineer with 10 years of direct experience in the equipment product design industry, and skilled in the following duties:

• Design substrate transport mechanisms to be used in high vacuum equipment products. Candidate has a background in mechatronics system design. Candidate is familiar with machining processes and has proven record of designing-to-cost, design-for-manufacturability, and meeting project commitments.
• Design process chambers for thin film deposition. Candidate is familiar with thermodynamics control, vacuum control, process gas delivery, and material selection for proper thermal and/or dielectrical requirements.
• Contribute, in a leading role, to the creation of engineering requirement documents and solutions for meeting the product requirements, per inputs from the project team, the MRS (Marketing Requirement Spec), and other sources that would define the product.
• Create and execute detailed test plans for assigned projects. This includes performance and reliability testing along with publishing such test reports for design reviews.
• Have good working knowledge of CAD and FEA systems, particularly SolidWorks 2007 and CosmosWorks.

Candidates with a MS degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a similar advanced degree is a plus.
