Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Overview

• Responsible for preparing complex detailed 2D & 3D CAD assembly drawings of new products or modified design of existing products using creativity in drawings and layouts.
• Ability to estimate and control the design-engineering budget for projects.
• Prepare proposal when there is a need.
• Ability to handle design component assembly, debugging and verification testing.
• Prepare documentation for all the projects before handling over to manufacturing group.
• Coordinate with suppliers to ensure the fabrication parts meet our requirements and specification.
• Timely delivery.
• Attentive to precise detail is a must.

Requirements

• Able to create Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering Drawings to standard in an unsupervised capacity
• 5 to 8 years experience in Semiconductor, Hard Disk or Automation Handling equipment designs.
• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or relevant working experience.
• Strong understanding of Solid Works and AutoCAD is a must.
• Good command of verbal and written English.
• QA/AC or machining experience preferred.
