Equipment Maintenance Technician

Postion Overview

Intevac is seeking a self-motivated and energetic individual to fill a Equipment Maintenance Technician position in the Fremont Production Facility. This individual will be responsible for PMs on MOCVD reactors as well as maintenance and repair of other semiconductor process equipment. Equipment knowledge and experience should include vacuum systems, high-purity gas delivery systems, and PECVD, PVD, thermal evaporation, wet processing, and metrology tools. Knowledge of high-vacuum systems and practices, handling ultra-clean semiconductor components, and hazardous materials handling are required.

Primary Job Duties:

• Perform preventative maintenance (PM) and repair on MOCVD epi reactors
• System upkeep of thin film deposition, wafer processing, and characterization equipment
• Responsible for managing any external vendor repair of factory toolset
• Maintain and update documents related to system operation and maintenance
• Responsible for all service chase housekeeping, chemical storage, and gas usage tracking
• Serve as member of Fremont ERT team

Secondary Job Duties:

• Support equipment maintenance activities in Santa Clara factory as needed
• Backfill epi process technician to run MOCVD reactors as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

• A.S. degree in related technology and 5+ years semiconductor line maintenance experience is required. A bachelor's degree is highly preferred.
• Must be fluent in verbal and written English.
• Computer literacy and experience with MS Word and Excel required.
• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• Permanent legal resident status is required; US citizenship is preferred.
