Performs on-site installation, upgrades and maintenance of company's complex capital equipment.
Independently install commission and troubleshoot vacuum plasma Physical Vapor Deposition, (PVD) disk sputtering equipment including retrofit and upgrade at customer site. This includes ability to resolve problems with Company's interest and achieving customer satisfaction
Serves as customer contact on technical and service related problems. Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures.
Determines most cost effective repair/resolution to minimize customer downtime.
Strong understanding of PVD sputter deposition hardware and ability to install, troubleshoot and perform preventative, corrective, minor and major repairs and upgrades in support of tool uptime requirements.
Interface with external customers as well as internal customers and vendors. effectively convey ideas and technical observations to resolve engineering issues. Strive for root cause analysis, identification, and long term fixes in every engineering activity.
Understand the fundamentals of Physical Vapor Deposition, Vacuum Systems, Chemical Vapor Deposition and the metrology associated with deposition of thin magnetic and non-magnetic metallic films.
Work effectively and cooperation with other Engineers, Leads and the Office Manager on technical and administrative issues.
Prepares reports for analysis of product failure trends and serviceability issues.
Requirements
Bachelors Degree in Engineering or Physics, master is a plus
3 to 5 years of experience with installing, servicing and repairing PVD &CVD Systems
Ability to speak, read & write in English and Mandarin
Proficient in MS Excel, Word
Excellent troubleshooting capacities
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
