Planner
Position Overview
Analyses inventory across stocking locations to maximize utilizations and turns. Reviews inventory and compares with forecast demand. Makes recommendations and tracks actions. Prepares documents and obtains signature to scrap parts with no requirements or activity for specified periods. Analyses product materials cost and cost comparison between systems. Provide material cost data for quotes and forecast. Review materials cost contributors and work closely with Material, Manufacturing, Finance and Engineering Team on product cost reduction efforts
Perform ECO cost and inventory impact analysis. Report ECO cost and inventory impact to EC manager and Planning for ECO implementation. Track system cost changes from initial configuration to shipment.
Primary Job Duties
- Performs the quarterly E&O analysis
- Follows-up on ‘judgeout' items to resolution
- Works with Planners and Buyers to consume, rework or cancel excess on order
- Works with Buyers to sell back excess stock on hand
- Monitor inventory turns and make recommendations for stocking levels
- Generate product cost BOM for material cost report, forecast and quotation
- Perform ECO inventory and cost impact analysis
- Coordinate retrofit requirement with Project Managers and Field Service due to ECO change
- Performs other miscellaneous analysis
Requirements
- BA or equivalent experience in planning, coordinating, ECO analysis, product costing and scheduling production operations
- Experience in a Manufacturing/Materials environment
- Knowledge of MRP Systems is a must
- Problem solving and analytical thinking skills are required
- APICS Certification is a plus
- Strong MS Excel skills
- Familiarity with Expandable MRP and Agile PLM a plus
- 3-5 years experience
