Field Service Engineer (6 Months Contract) – 6 Openings
Position Overview
Understand the fundamentals of Physical Vapor Deposition, Vacuum Systems, and the metrology associated with deposition of thin magnetic and non-magnetic metallic films.
Independently install, commission and troubleshoot Intevac's Physical and Chemical Vapor Deposition disk sputtering equipment and Semiconductor Thin Films Deposition equipment including retrofit and upgrade at customer site.
Serves as customer contact on technical and service related problems. Diagnoses mechanical, electrical, hardware, software and systems failures, using established procedures.
Provide leadership, guidance and mentoring for junior engineers/technicians under his care. Ensure all members of his team have the resources required to perform the job. Constantly monitor the morale and well being of engineers/technicians under his care
Requirements
Minimum 3-5 years experience in maintaining high vacuum CDV/PVD systems in a cleanroom environment.
Excellent troubleshooting capabilities
Ability to work independently with minimum supervision
University degree or Diploma in Engineering, Materials Science or Physics
Good command of verbal and written English.
Software experience in Siemens PLC and Visual Basic will be an added advantage.
