Cathode Process Technician
Position Overview
This position directly supports Intevac Imaging's cathode processing efforts and is responsible for supporting the fabrication of vacuum electronic devices for commercial and military optoelectronics applications. Process knowledge and experience should include sputter deposition, lapping and polishing, wet etch, and photolithography processing. Ideal candidate will be familiar with chemical handling and small parts handling.

Primary Job Duties
- Perform complex processing on III/V devices utilizing state-of-the-art semiconductor processing equipment.
- Perform technical tasks including but not limited to troubleshooting, calibration, and day to day adjustments various semiconductor and high-vacuum processing tools.
- Perform technical tasks using proper protective equipment (PPE) with hazardous chemicals.
- Perform device testing and visual inspection on small device parts using microscopes and small device handling tools.
- Verify the accuracy of production work instructions and procedures.
Secondary Job Duties
- Support cross-training initiatives within organization
- Support the generation of production work instructions and procedures
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Provide engineering support by executing design of experiment projects as required for process development.
Minimum Requirements
- High school degree and 3+ years semiconductor processing experience is required.
- III/V material processing experience preferred
- Must be competent in verbal and written English
- Computer literacy and experience with MS Excel and MS Access required
- Must be able to work overtime when required
- Permanent legal resident status is required; U.S. citizenship is preferred.
