Buyer
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for requisition process, form negotiation to RFQs and reviewing requisition and contract prior to executing the buying
- Assists in Sourcing activities for new project such as preparing and sending RFQ's, evaluating supplier and quotes packages
- Plan and make tactical buying decisions and execute purchasing strategies
- Ensure materials purchased are according with company's purchasing policies and procedures
- Establish good relationships with vendors to ensure strong support to meet the company's demand
- Review with vendors on parts quality issues and ensure that corrective and preventative actions are taken care of by vendors
- Plan, negotiate and coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of parts in order to support production build
- Handle escalation such as parts shortages to meet and fulfill customer satisfaction
- Drive and minimize excess and obsolete inventory
- Participate in reports generation and continuous improvement programs
- Assists in developing and improving existing processes and procedures
- Maintain and ensure Key Performance metrics are met
Job Requirements
- BA in Engineering, Business Administration, or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 3 years' related industry experience in planning and inventory management
- Knowledge of supply chain and materials flow concept
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word, and Outlook and experience in ERP system (such as Oracle, SAP) is highly desirable
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Team player, self-driven and able to work under pressure with sense of urgency
