Electrical Embedded System Design Engineer

Position Overview

Intevac's imaging organization is searching for a senior embedded systems engineer. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on person who can design; document, implement and test embedded hardware and firmware solutions. This person will be a member of a small product development team in a division of a growing larger company.

  Minimum Requirements

• BS in electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated expertise in
• Development of functional specifications for new products
• Hardware and Software architecture, design, coding and testing
• Analog, mixed signal and digital electrical design
• PCB layout with numerous physical constraints.
• Prototype development and debugging
• Must have experience in leading development projects from concept through production
• 7+ more of relevant work experience

Ideal Candidate Should Have

• Experience developing, testing, and supporting embedded software/hardware based on Freescale processors
• Experience with low noise CCD/photodiode imaging
• Strong analytical and diagnostic skills with goal orientation and adherence to schedules
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong mathematical skills and digital signal processing / algorithm implementation
• Ability to work as a team player as well as an individual contributor
• Experience with hardware bring-up and developing diagnostics software
• Experience with electronic lab equipment
• US Permanent Residency is required
