LithoPrime

LithoPrime™ is the first and only tool of its kind to support nano-imprint-lithography. LithoPrime is a process-critical production tool for nano-imprinting. It enables patterning on hard disks by coating a thin adhesion layer between the disk and the resist. This is a crucial step of the imprint process for patterned media. Nano-imprinting is vital for the next generation technology transition to patterned media. The current continuous media approach will soon reach its storage density limits of approximately 1TB/in2. Patterned Media will enable storage densities significantly beyond this limit and serve the increasing needs of the HDD industry.
