NightVista
The NightVista® family of cameras utilize Intevac’s patented EBAPS® CMOS technology. The low power, small footprint cameras provide clear digital imagery under extreme low light conditions. Designed for a variety of nighttime and low light imaging conditions, the high dynamic range NightVista cameras have the ability to provide clear imagery from conditions of extreme darkness to full daylight.
NightVista cameras integrate a high voltage power supply, temperature sensor, and FLASH memory to store image correction parameters, as well as additional supporting electronics. The photons from the scene are focused onto the photocathode and the resulting photoelectrons are accelerated across a vacuum gap and proximity-focused on the back-illuminated CMOS anode to produce a digital image intensified (DI2) image with very low noise. The NightVista cameras and modules contain Intevac’s proprietary non-blooming, zero-halo technology with Automatic Gain Control (AGC) that allows the camera to operate effectively in a wide range of lighting conditions without the customary halo bloom associated with analog night vision devices.
Gain is achieved by the electron multiplication that results when the high velocity electrons dissipate their energy in the silicon chip which creates electron-hole pairs in the back surface of the CMOS Focal Plane Array (FPA). The pixels are read out, sampled and converted to 10-bit LVTTL digital data inside the camera. The pixel data is framed and sent to the digital video bus for output from the camera in the form of a Camera Link signal interface.
Intevac’s cameras can be produced in a variety of configurations, including module versions with or without the Intevac-supplied video processing electronics to facilitate easy integration into a wide range of compact imaging systems.
NightVista E3010C
The NightVista E3010 camera incorporates Intevac’s ISIE 10 sensor which provides outstanding low light video performance at an affordable price. The ISIE 10 sensor offers increased reliability by reducing the complexity associated with cameras using Gen III tubes.

NightVista M611
The NightVista M611 camera incorporates Intevac’s super fast (60 Hz) frame rate and ultra-high (UXGA) resolution ISIE 11 sensor. This camera improves upon the outstanding features of the E3010C camera by providing higher frame rate, higher resolution and additional capabilities including snapshot shutter and increased image processing capabilities.

- Spectral Response: 500 nm - 900 nm (Day mode: 750nm - 1050nm)
- Dynamic Range: Daylight to overcast starlight; day-mode operation with HVPS off
