LIVAR 506

The Laser Illuminated Viewing and Ranging (LIVAR®) family of cameras are rugged, short wave infrared (SWIR) gated cameras, with a small form factor to allow for ease of integration with existing electro-optical targeting systems. Various configurations of high voltage power supply (HVPS) are available depending upon application and intended use. An optional integrated thermo-electric cooler for extended temperature range operation is available.

The camera is available with several digital video interface options: CameraLink, and HOTLink are currently available and will be available with an RS170 interface. It is designed for operation with an eye safe laser as an active illumination source and target acquisition system (FLIR or RADAR) for long-range target identification.

The LIVAR 500 camera incorporates a multifunction CMOS silicon imaging sensor into a transferred electron imager package for, cost and size reduction. The LIVAR camera is a natural addition to vehicles and airborne platforms already equipped with thermal or other target acquisition systems. LIVAR utilizes the target acquisition system for ranging and gating purposes and then provides positive target identification.
