LEAN SOLAR, our innovative, small footprint solar cell double-sided processing system, brings all the benefits of low-cost, high-productivity manufacturing to the photovoltaic industry. With its unique system architecture and plug-and-play process modules, LEAN SOLAR has the flexibility to accommodate our customers’ specific system configurations and the ability to run multiple applications. These applications include CIGS on glass or stainless steel substrates, and crystalline silicon-based applications that include metal contact, passivation, ARC, thermal, etch and Transparent Conductive Oxide (TCO).

By processing cells individually, LEAN SOLAR delivers highly precise, uniform, repeatable multi-layer film properties. This system supports up to 28 sequential integrated process steps which can be a combination of physical vapor deposition (PVD), chemical vapor deposition (CVD), thermal and etch. LEAN SOLAR minimizes uniformity challenges to enable our customers to rapidly scale-up to high efficiencies. With its low initial capital investment and low unit cell processing cost, LEAN SOLAR offers our PV manufacturing customers the ultimate, economically beneficial solution to produce the high quality, high yield solar products that will increase their profitability.
