Arthur L. Money

Mr. Money joined the Intevac Board of Directors in October 2003. Mr. Money was Assistant Secretary of Defense (ASD/C31) for Command, Control, Communications and Intelligence from October 1999 until April 2001. He has held such positions as Chief Information Officer, Department of Defense, from February 1998 to April 2001; Senior Civilian Official, Office of the ASD, from February 1998 to October 1999; and Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Research, Development and Acquisition from January 1996 to February 1998.

Mr. Money is currently a member of the National Imagery and Mapping Agency Advisory Board, Defense Science Board, US Air Force Center Advisory Board, and the US Navy-Defense Security Assistance Program Special Advisory Panel. Mr. Money has also served on the National Security Agency Advisory Board, US Strategic Command Strategic Advisory Group, and the Remote Sensing Future-Kerr Panel reporting to the Scowcroft Commission.

Mr. Money has more than 30 years of executive, management and engineering experience in the private sector, with companies such as Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. and TRW Avionics and Surveillance Group, engaged in defense electronics and airborne tactical reconnaissance and surveillance systems. Mr. Money currently serves as a director of other public and private companies, holds degrees in Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, and has completed executive-level programs at Harvard and MIT.
