Intevac Inc. Opens Shenzhen, P.R.C. Field Operations Office

Intevac, Inc. (Company) (Nasdaq: IVAC) announced the opening of its Shenzhen field operations office in the People's Republic of China.

Intevac Chief Executive Kevin Fairbairn remarked: "I am pleased to announce that Intevac has initiated operations in the Peoples Republic of China with the establishment of field operations in Shenzhen. This office will provide support to our customer, Hitachi Global Storage Technologies. We are pleased that Dirk R. Thomas, President, Hitachi Global Storage Products (Shenzhen), Greater China, and Lian Hua, Deputy Director, Bureau of Development and Reform of Shenzhen Municipal Hi-tech Industry Department, were among the attendees at our formal opening ceremony.
