Intevac Announces Contract for LIVAR Sensor Manufacturing and Technology Development for the Systems for Airborne Laser Sensing and Analysis --"SALSA'' -- Program
Intevac, Inc. (Nasdaq:IVAC) today announced that it has been awarded a four-year, $22,513,688 cost-reimbursable, cost-plus, fixed-fee contract for LIVAR® sensor manufacturing and technology development for the Systems for Airborne Laser Sensing and Analysis ("SALSA") Program. The contracting agency is the Air Force Research Laboratory, Phillips Research Site, Directed Energy Directorate, Kirtland Air Force Base, N.M. At this time, incremental funding of $1,000,000 of the $22,513,688 contract has been released to Intevac. Ongoing program-year funding of the contract will be contingent on annual appropriations made by Congress.
